Zanna Chase: Principal Investigator.
My research interests include trace metal biogeochemistry and geochemical proxies for paleo-productivity. I grew up in Montreal, Canada, and received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from McGill University, and a PhD in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Columbia University. I was a postdoctoral fellow at MBARI before joining the faculty at OSU. You can view my full CV in PDF format and check out a short piece on me, together with similar pieces on other women in COAS, that appeared in the March 2005 issue of Oceanography Magazine
Chris Holm: Faculty Research Assistant
Chris got his MS in my lab in December 2006, developing an in-situ sensor for copper in the coastal ocean. He got his undergraduate degree at OSU in chemistry.
Jesse Muratli: COAS MSc student. Jesse has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from Lewis and Clark College. He is using 230Th and 231Pa to characterize particle flux at sites on the Chilean margin.
